If you are gonna get picky, Blue is closer to canon because the original games are RGB and that name was recycled for every manga version. There isn't a single Pokemon official media she's actually called Leaf, she's usually "MC Girl". If a datamined unused name is canon then Green's real name is Terry.

Even Sugimori likes painting her in monochrome blue shades from time to time if that isn't enough of a hint that they don't care about some Bulbapedia name.
