Yes, it is. People still shit on ORAS a ton, but Gen6fags who want to try and defend their generation, particularly ORAS, always shit on HGSS (and Emerald) to downplay what those games do right that ORAS does wrong, particularly third version content being preserved between Crystal and HGSS but not between Emerald and ORAS. They call Crystal's additions nothing (admittedly Crystal adds less to GS than Emerald adds to RS) and downplay the Emerald additions like the new double battle system and the Battle Frontier. It's pretty easy to notice.

XYfags are more likely to shit on Gen 5, though.

Ledian is unironically weak, I'm using one right now in a SS run and I'm struggling to keep him alive. It is better in gen II thanks to elemental punches being special, but for gen IV it barely has usable moves. I tried teaching it swagger and now it just dies faster.

Too many pokemon, specially for the first gyms. Take in consideration that Clair is only the half point of the game no the final point. And I don't think Jasmine should had a Skarmory, because then she could sent it for the ampharos medicine.

I think at most a game should have a set of Gym Leaders like Emerald. Bugsy shouldn't exceed 3 Pokémon, Jasmine could lose a Magnemite, and Claire should drop a Kingdra. I also think Chuck having a Tyrogue is dumb, since it's a baby Pokémon, and that one of those two Piloswine should be replaced with something else for redundancy.

If you do this, the teams become a steady curve of 3/3/4/4/4/4/5/5, a nice and steady increase without getting too ridiculous.

I also think >>29495915 is a good list, except for Claire having a Charizard, you don't want her team to be too similar to Lance's. Maybe give her a Dunsparce and buff that.
