So now that we've seen the signature moves, do you think they'll be useful competitively?
Spirit Shackle I can see used as an anti-taunt mean look, but how many times do you see mean look in competitive play other than on meme sets?
Darkest Lariat could be good if Incineroar is fast enough going against baton pass teams or those who have boosted their defense. I can definitely see this one being used if it has a high enough base power.
Sparkling Aria I can only see used against Guts+Flame Orb/variant opponents since it would cut their attack boost, but at the end of the turn it would re-burn the opponent, so it would only work if Primarina is faster, which isn't likely. If you're in doubles/triples, then you're better off using Aromatherapy since Sparkling Aria does damage.
Thoughts?
Sparkling aria...heck no. Tho a doubles prankster with will-o-wisp sounds like a hilarious combo

Mean Look isn't good because it's just wasting a turn.
Spirit Shackle does damage, which allows you to keep up the momentum by controlling switches.
Spirit Shackle seems the best so far. If it has at least okay BP it'll be good.
Darkest Lariat seems okay. Maybe a Sacred Sword clone, but may as well just use Knock Off most of the time.
Sparkling Aria will only be good if it hits really hard even against anything that isn't burned. Otherwise, it sucks.
THAT POPPLIO IS 10/10 WTF I HATE PRIMARINA NOW

Primarina's hair is awesome
Spirit Shackle could be good. Controlling switches in VGC can be a really big deal, Mean Look just isn't used frequently because it uses a turn and doesn't do damage and the tradeoff isn't worth it, but with some damage output, it has potential. But look at stuff like Shadow Tag- it is a super useful effect. It depends on how much Base Power it packs, as well Decidueye not being a complete push-over.
Darkest Lariat has potential, but that depends on how often you see Defense-boosting moves used. This gen would almost be a prime candidate with Palossand and Mudsdale but both of those are ground types so Incineroar has a rough matchup against them.
Sparkling Aria sounds not too useful- look at the usage of Smelling Salts / Wake-up Slap. If it's not significantly stronger than those I would be shocked if it sees any usage at all. Though it isn't much of a concern because Scald and Surf are all the special water STAB you could need.
