I agree. The design itself is excellent...I just think it's utter shit for a fire starter and especially a bad evolution for Litten. Litten was a cold, disdainful cat. Litten also had somewhat of a bomb theme, and a potential for poison/eruptions. There was a lot of potential there and a unique personality that got tossed out for another fighting fire type.

That depends on one's opinion, I suppose. Personally, after all these generations getting the same concept recycled for Fire starters, Incineroar is the laziest direction they could have taken Litten. They slapped a Dark typing there, sure, but the concept is still plain to see.

Aside from that, it's the shittiest design out of all the Fire/Fighting starters. Literally looks like some edgelord's fursona, and those hands are unforgivable. Someone went to art school and made this pile of shit.

So, we have them beating the same dead horse of a concept for years, and then taking the lazy approach to it again.

I'm not going to pretend that Litten's design is the best fire type starter (certainly not the worst, definitely not the laziest) but this hate circlejerk needs to stop. People kept bitching that Delphox was too girly and not vicious enough, so they made Incineroar. Now people are calling it unoriginal and boring. Make up your fucking minds. there are only so many designs you can do for "large cat beast on four legs", and we already wasted the lion motif on Pyroar (I actually like Pyroar's design but it's shit desu).

God damn, if you don't like it don't use it. There will be plenty of returning fire types, and alolan marowak looks great to nearly everyone.
