...will Ash actually get his own harem this season?
Serena, unlike her predecessor Irisfucking hell, what a shitter, is actually pretty damn popular in Japan, and there seems to be some pretty good response to Serena's kissing Ash.
Now, with that in mind... will they still take the harem route with the new squad?
Remember, nips can be fucking vicious when they see something that interferes with a ship that they liked. You heard about the ending to Naruto? Fanbase was split down the middle by that shit. The ending to Bleach? Kubo's lucky that he was ending it anyway, because Ichigo x Rukia getting BTFO would have ended the series anyway; ratings dropped and dude was getting death threat upon death threat.
If Ash gets to go harem and the Japs are still loyal to Serena, the series and fanbase will enter the biggest shitstorm Pokemon will have ever have to hope to weather.
This harem business will either have to be played like a fucking piano or it'll never happen.

Holy shit, there is no fucking way that Ash will have a harem. I can assure you that there won't be anything similar to that in the whole run of the arc, because this is a very fucking restrained and Westernized kodomo anime.
Amourshipping was the first time they tried doing something serious in the whole series, and just look at how they had to censor the kiss because "muh american kids cant be exposed to kissing. girls got cooties." That's the same reason why they don't even write anything in a real language anymore, and why they gave up with the rice balls.
I really doubt they would be assholes enough to try putting another romantic subplot anyway, even if it's just for fun. It would end up pissing off even more people.

The censored kiss thing is more of a Japan thing rather than Western one. Pretty much mouth kissing is censored if it involves minors because it's an adult thing and a commitment thing.It's like having sex in Japan.
