Talonflame can't hit anyone anymore that's grounded as in not being part Flying or having Levitate. This means mons like Breloom or even Komo-o can now whipe the floor with it with SE moves. This is all due to Psychic Terrain that prevents grounded mons from being hit by priority. Best part do ? Lycanroc CAN hit Talonflame with Accelrock since it's a Flying type and no affected by Psychic Terrain. Smogon bird got BTFO'd so hard this gen.

These things are support Pokemon. They're not meant as damage givers. Stab Wood Hammer in Grassy terrain didn't even knock out tauros, putting Bulu's attack at about 90. These things are going to be more fast and defensive, why else would they're signature move just be fairy super fang? Read all their descriptions, they all say that they don't favour doing damage but rather defending and using tricks.
Saying that, Tapu Bulu+Heatran is going to be godly. Bulu takes care of water types and stops earthquake users, heatran takes care of poison, fire and ice weaknesses.

They're not really bad, just underpowered due to mediocre stats. If the owl has high speed and decent attack, it'll have the right resistances/immunities to be a good pivot.
