shadow tag is good because it applies instantly. If you need to resolve a turn to trap, it's easy for your opponent to switch to something that counters the owl, forcing it to switch out and break its trap.

Yeah but it's rare for a starters base stats to drop below 70. Delphox has 69 Atk for example and Torterra is the only one to go below 60.
So ideally you'd get 60 Atk and 60 Spd on Primarina
