Because we all know they are the biggest shitposters out of the three starter fanbases, with Littenfags being chill and Poppliofags being...confused?

The only problem with Poppmaid's design is that it's supposed to be male. If it were 87.5% female instead it'd be fine. I'd rather Rapelio were a thing though.

The thing with Poppmaid is, I'd excuse the design simply due to the fact that that it's part Fairy type and we all know Fairy type tend to fall into the more cutesy, more pretty side design wise, with very few exceptions.

Then I look at, well, Sylveon for instance. But, asides from the ribbon-like appendages and the whole fact that it's pink with blue eyes, it looks pretty neutral, at least to me. I legitimately wouldn't mind a male Sylveon, in case I'd ever get one. Just because it's pink, doesn't make it less of a male or whatever. Plenty of Fairy type pokemon are pink and I assume the color is often associated by it.

Then I look at Popplio, yeah, it looks pretty neutral and I never really had much of a idea of what it'd turn into besides what people would assume it would turn into.

Then I see the fact that it still retains its blue/white scheme and up until Brionne, I can still tolerate the idea.

Then it gets to Poppmaid and the whole thing just sinks down for me, for whatever the heck reason. I'm not sure if it's the eyelashes, the crazy ass hair or the actual legitimate maid frills or a combination of those or whatever, but something in its design just makes me think it's gone a bit overboard despite the fact that it's mostly blue and white, with just a few inklings of pink here and there. I happen to know just a bit about mermaids and selkies and know there are male counterparts as well, but the design doesn't feel like it lends to both sides?

I shouldn't be going this sperg on it, considering the intent behind the design was to literally make a pop idol star/diva concept, otherwise, Brionne wouldn't even have the Category name Pop Star Pokemon with this slight ballerina theme to it. But then I remember that all Popplios become this and then you realize that your male Popplio evolves into a Pop Star/Idol/Diva mermaid/selkie kind of hybrid regardless. It's not simply a performing dancing bard kind of pokemon.
