>there will never be another mystery dungeon game as perfect as this one
It hurts
This series is shit and so are you.
>>29437674
is it actually possible to have such bad taste

>>29437810
I don't hate the Mystery Dungeon games but I just don't care for them much
>>29437810
>not knowing about the most ebin new tripfag
just ignore it
>>29437810
You're replying to a shitposting tripfag, newfriend.
Nigga.
Super Mystery Dungeon was pretty fucking great.
>>29437810
Who the fuck wants to play through shit random dungeons, shitty ass hunger mechanics, MUH SOB STORY, and hit and miss recruitment features. I admit I never played Super but RB and TD soured me.

>Having THIS much shit taste
>>29437859
That ending was fucking surreal.

I STILL can'tObscure Kirby refferences ahoy
>we will only ever get the secret episode
>never a full game about wigglytuff
Why live?
From a gameplay standpoint, Super's the best in the series, but that doesn't mean much since it's still crappy compared to other dungeon crawlers.
Explorers is extremely overrated, the gameplay is shallow and easy, and the plot wasn't great either. Characters were flat, stock anime tropes barring Igglybuff's Special Episode, where he at least had some character.I still like Super and RT.

>Miss and miss :the gameplay
>the best in the series
>>29438331
>implying overpowered IQ with multihit regular attacks are any better
Explorers is just press A to win, especially since Gummis were so damn common.
>>29438453
I also hacked Primal Dialga in my game once,It still works perfecty and it's fun ROT'ing everything to death.
>>29437674
>>29437419
But the ending felt like such an ass-pull. It would've been better if everyone disappeared forever when they were supposed to. Aside from that though, great game.
>>29438506
>no challenge in a dungeon crawler is acceptable
>cheating in a game as easy as EoS
>>29438046
Between Sky Tower and that, we've gone full circle
>>29437419Gates had a better storySuper had better gameplay
>>29437419
>Can't use mons you recruit in most of the important missions
>Perfect
Nah, but it's still pretty good.

(for interpreting my bratty wishlist, ignore the fact that GtI exists since I never played it)
Next Mystery Dungeon should have
>the return of IQs, but much easier to raise. Also certain skills need to be rearranged, like Lava Evade should be a starting IQ skill (fuck you, Cresslia)
>Super's AI with some improvement.
>the ability to command an ally to go to a particular floor tile, item, or pokemon by touch screen, overriding any tactics, but not any skills and abilities, or lack there of.
>A story that has good pacing, especially at the beginning, but have the ability to choose to postpone plot advancement like in RT and EoS
>more character dialogue options, even if they do nothing to the story in the long run, since that shit is very hard, but I like to have more ways to feel like I'm projecting myself in the world
>treat the player with a little more maturity (but still make it E-rated). Ex: maybe show them that evil exists in some pokemon, but that it doesn't always pop out of nowhere and that it is diverse in thought and action, and that even bad guys have some virtue
>NO FUCKING BREAK SYSTEM! I know people have their own shit to do in real life, but is it really worth inconveniencing the player? It's not like MD is trying to simulate real life!
>super's personality test, super's AI improvements, music quality, Alliances, controls convenience (button mapping moves), IQ skills, randomized missions, special episodes, are all welcomed back
>kinda iffy on Super's recruitment system, personally would rather have the old way
>just a nitpick, but I would like to have the gender of me an my partner recognized via pronouns.
>>29437904
This exactly.
One of the only sane people on this board.

>kinda iffy on Super's recruitment system, personally would rather have the old way
Recruiting via connection orb felt a lot more satisfying, and it made the missions really matter. In the DS games, they were essentially pointless since there were no unique rewards for beating them aside from new dungeons, and even then, seen one random dungeon, seen them all. Hated the recruitment system in the older games. Other than that, you're right
I'd also curtail the partner's role ala Gates, or have two partners, or ditch the partner entirely. Didn't really like any of the partners, and while I'd say I liked the Gates partner the most out of the four, it was probably because he wasn't in my face all the time.
