Back in gen 1 days, I had an aunt that thought this nigga was called "Pasyduck", i.e. pronouncing the P.
Any pokemon names you struggled with in the past vp? I used to pronounce many names differently till I heard them on the anime. When I was 8 I used to say "Ex-attu" for Xatu cause back then I was too retarded to make connections between Xylophone and the letter X. Then there's shit like "Skeptile" and ironically then "Arseeus". I knew people that said shit like "Rayquarza", "Grewdon" and "Kyorg".
I thought it was Vivillion for the longest time, instead of Vivillon.

just fucking realized this

>Ex-attu
>Skeptile
>Grewdon
These are exactly how I pronounced them when I was little too. Except Kyo-gree not Kyorg.
I also say Arseeus and Arkeeas. Whichever sounds better at the moment.

I called Kyogre kee-og-reh, but that's because the correct way is really fucking strange to say in my language.
I also don't know if Tyranitar, Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are supposed to be Tee- or Tai-
>>29434234
I bet you still pronounce the Ls though. Instead of VIH-vee-yon like it should be
>>29434415
All 3 are Tai
I still slip and say "SKEP-tile" sometimes, OP.You ain't alone.
I'm also the anon that called Suicune "soo-KEE-nee."
>>29434647
OP here, forgot this example. Knew someone that called him "Swee-sween".
>>29434056
up until i was 9 i said suicune like "soo-wee-scene". i never actually looked at how the word was spelt. i also had the groo-don problem until recently

They do this in the anime and it pisses me off. They butcher everything French.

I wondered about that. I don't watch the anime at all. So I guess that's the "official" pronunciation. That's unfortunate
