There's a single spawn point I can reach from my house, I've only seen a Meowth and a Magnemite since the event started.

It's also 3am mind you so I'm obviously not gonna see what the spawns are like. Cubone and Drowzee are on my radar though.

Yes, but you have to walk a quarter of the distance to get candies.

If you opened your app and suddenly got three candies, that's because you were at least 3/4 the way to the non-quartered requirement.

My Dragonair was 4.65km out of 5km for example. This gave me three candies and it's now at 0.9km/1.25km.

Thing is, you want the event spawns to at least have one evolution for you to build up candies for, or else you're going to get tired of them pretty quick.

Halloween's also specifically associated with walking around and collecting candy. I expect the Christmas event, if there is one, to be more about receiving gifts in an Advent Calendar-like countdown.

I don't have anything on battling so I can't predict whether or not the high Defense will be game changing like in the mainline games but a Vape would probably be able to out-DPS its pitiful damage even if it reduced all damage to 1 per shot or something since 30-40 Water Guns is like...15-20 seconds of screen mashing. Doubt a Shuckle could do any amount of damage to a Vaporeon even if the roles were reversed and Shuckle was attacking.

I just got home from walking around town. There weren't that many players, but I hatched a near perfect dratini. I'm fucking hyped.

Wisconsin has a place like that but it's in a park that closes at 10 PM so if there's lures in there after 10 then it's guaranteed to be either a spoofer or a trespasser. When the park is open it's constantly lured and super rare Pokemon spawn every 30 minutes (Gyarados, Aerodactyl, Hitmonlee, Porygon, etc).

You did however wanted z headbutt and psychic for attacking poliwraths if you can't grassmon or in my case as they're a dime a dozen, evolve level 29/30.5 drowzees till one gets it and transfer after the battle. You can ez get 1750+ expendable hypnos and use them come 4th battle on lvl 10 gyms if you're running low on revives.
