I liked how Gary got under Giovanni's skin. I wasn't sure if Gary was kicking the crap out of him or if Giovanni was going easy. It was great then the best part was Mewtwo. It was the one time Pokemon managed to keep something a secret for so long. Then of course the second half of the episode was garbage

I like Erika's episode too, Valery's episode in XY made me feel nostalgic for it. Her gym was filled with cute girls

I liked the Cassidy and Brian episode. It was nice to see someone other than Jessie and James and funny to watch Ash get thrown in jail. Misty did pretty well by herself

Easily vs. Lt Surge. The first badge that Ash actually won through a proper fight, and one of the most epic gym battles in indigo/johto.

Runners up are the battle aboard the St. Anne and Pokemon Shipwreck. Felt like such a major event, and the whole Posiedon Adventure vibe was great. Before the anime got totally toothless, it actually felt like the main characters were in danger. Island of the Giant Pokemon is a fun and unique concept, too.

I just realized all of my favorite episodes are right in a row. Oh, and Go West, Young Meowth was based as fuck.

I always like the Tentacruel tsunami episode. The first half had that comfy atmosphere with occassional expositions about unethical industrialization, then second half quickly escalated to apocalypse situation. Good message.

The episode where Ash gets Charmander is pretty good.
Watching Brock threatening that trainer by grabbing him and telling him to go back for his pokemon was a pretty hardcore moment for him.

The breeding center secret episode as mentioned above was really good.
I liked how Snap travelled with them for a few episodes.
Seeing how Jessie and James stack up against other Rockets was funny and kind of sad.

Good Lord, that music when Charizard is revealed... Even after all those years, I still got chills.

If there's one thing that can't be shat on in the anime, it's the music. Especially when it's not changed by whoever is in charge of the western adaptation.

XY was less oversatured than Sinnoh and Unova, but is still feels terribly cold compared to what came before that

I always liked the episode with the Eevee siblings who are trying to get their younger brother to evolve his Eevee.
I think I like it most because Team Rocket is actually fairly competent during the episode.

I really enjoyed the first season of Aikatsu, but seeing those webms of Serena and her Pokémon (or any other girls) dancing really made me think what the fuck was going on. Yeah, the animation wasn't too bad, but it felt like those episodes were all but Pokémon.
