The hell? No they're not. Weird and cool are completely different adjectives. Just because something like Turtonator is both, doesn't mean that they all are.

I would say something like Rayquaza is a cool design. Nothing about it is weird. Something like Shuckle is a weird design. Nothing about it is badass.

I don't necessarily think that weird=bad, but "bizarre" is a clear motif that they view as a category of design.. they've even referenced it before in dream world and shit.

That's pretty neat. I guess it makes sense. They had to have a dragon anyway and they just had to get a loose basis on the Hawaiian ones hence the name and added some polynesian stuff to the evo.

Considering Jangmo-o looks very similar to Gen 5 and 6 Pokémon, I am not surprised that it was made first.
