At least they have full movesets. All 6 gens later and being 'as bad as Gen 1' is a fucking travesty. I don't hold Gen 1 in high regard but we should expect improvement. Simple things like Challenge Mode could be used to solve these things but apparently Masuda intentionally left out Challenge Mode because the games still sell extremely well without it and didn't want to put in the extra effort.

I can get liking the games. It's more like, going from gen 1 to 2, you had big changes like new types, held items, breeding, day and night cycles, friendship. You go from 2 to 3, you get natures, abilities, double battles. 5 did have rotation and triple battles, but the kind of ended up being ignored.
