In Gen 4 we went 3D with the overworld, and many HGSS locations were done up in a style closer to Gen 5 than Gen 4. It would make sense that HGSS is bigger than Platinum with more complex 3D environments, similar to how SM is larger than SM for the same reason.

Also no, Sinnoh is not bigger than Kanto and Johto combined, dont be ridiculous. The regions are smaller than the others but that doesnt mean they are super fucking tiny. Two regions naturally add to it's size

It means alot considering that was gen 6 most iconic mechanic. So far, we know a handful of the can be bought using bp and via npc giving them to you (this is on the official pkmn site). As for the rest of them, we still dont know.

Easy. The vc games purpose is to transfer the regular kanto mon to sm(since not all kanto mon are available in xy/oras) and fill the kanto dex completely, thus making a return to kanto way redundant. Also remember this is the first time in gf history where they skip a third installment and go straight to a new gen. Having a "z version" between 7th gen would feel very out of place, so having kalos as post game would make things easier for their release schedule to just focus on the 3rd installments of sm and then gen 8.

Am I the only one triggered by the fact that many people think the train links Alola and Kalos? Alola is in the middle of the sea, and it's a train. A TRAIN.

An underwater train is possible for short distances, but in the demo they say Alola is really far from every other region. There is no way were getting to Kalos by train.

This is the 20th anniversary game, and so they wouldnt use it to finish the story of the previous games when a bunch of people wouldnt have played the first part. This is going to try attract more people who mainly remember Kanto and thus, get to see Kanto in full-er 3D and 20 years later, to compare to their VC Kanto.

Also, you could also fill the Kalos dex completely with XY.

Nothing really, it just means they need to add a background panel for some of those areas. These are tile maps so they aren't very big. Don't forget that Platinum's gym puzzles are largely 3D as well, the maps in gen 4 really aren't as big as you'd expect. Sprites and music take up a lot more space, both of which HGGS had in abundance; mostly due to following pokemon and two regions worth of music.

Zygarde got cucked badly, zen shit mode as its ability, basically it got no ability. It should had a buffed Aura Break and Complete forme should be independent like Deoxys' formes/Giratina/Shaymin/Kyurem B/W etc

Regardless of post game, GF screwed Zygarde a lot, people say it will reach Mega Fug leves, yeah probably in terms of stats, but its ability is shit. Mega Fug got Delta Stream which makes it take super effective hits better, Zygarde got nothing on that, unless GF actually got brains and make all of its formes seperate and not based on a shitty ability gimmick.

I for one hope for a Kalos postgame, since it felt rather unfinished due to the Power Plant, Couriway Town/City etc. Lots of things can and could of been explored. If we don't get any second region in the postgame, I'd at least hope for another "Delta Episode" or somekind of Battle Frontier.

I on neither side, but do you really think all that would be about 1.5 GB? If XY brought us ALL current 721 mons in 3D, about 180 trainers (some trainers had double do to the battle place near the breeding center), so what SM is adding isn't that much more, so that leave a minigame, a new battle type, significantly more ride Pokemon, and Z-move cutscenes that could pass off as Hyper Space Fury level of animation for moves.
Is that really enough to add 1.5 GB to the game?

How has novody brought up the issue of Kalos entire landmass being built on an engine with grid movement and smaller character models?

How the fuck would they put it in SM without a major rework that would instantly defeat the point of copying a region like GSC did? They only did it for GSC because there was space left in the cart and it was easy to copy paste Kanto, barring a few area removals.

That said, the amount of data in the cart is a huge sign of a significant amount of content hidden somewhere, I just don't think it's Kalos.

And a good sum of those XY classes are duplicates given different AI and/or the ability to use Mega Evolution.

Where did you get that from? AI isn't class specific, it's determined by its own bit field in each trainer's data. If a Pokemon in XY has a mega stone it mega evolves automatically, regardless of the trainer class.
