Burnett is the professor from Pokemon Dream Radar. She specializes in Pokemon that pierce through other dimensions (in this case, dreams and reality)

She's not really tied to anything in SM though besides maybe where the UBs come from. As >>29407845 joked, it would be interesting if the UBs are actually like "nightmares" of characters, which would explain why they look so much like some of the characters in the game.

I really wish the games would just mention some of the other professors we've seen as a way of tying the universe together. Like I'm hoping for a Professor Willow shoutout

Because those two are added at the end of a name to mean "doctor". They are absent in dialogue boxes, similar to how "Prof" is dropped in English, as seen in pic related.

I still maintain this is what "It all comes together!" truly means. We'll have at least one character from each game, Ash, some form of reference to Pocket Monsters Red and Clefairy, and probably Yellow to rep Special given that she's insanly popular in Japan.

Something to pay homage to each major part of the franchise. It's a bit hopeful but I'd just enjoy seeing everything important get a nod.

I hope they do not change her in-game model too much from her Dream Radar design. Labcoats plus bodysuits are a unique kind of sexy.

I wonder if TPCi's gonna fuck up the translation because they forgot about Burnett because translation of Dream Radar was done by Creatures and/or Nintendo.

I don't think the Japanese would give the same name to different characters unless they were related, so it could be her or a relative/descendent. Still most likely the former though, since the stealth change in the English trailer somewhat confirms that.
