Aether needs it. It would have been awesome to get forms based on their "natural forms" that removes their Rock typing or their appearance. I can't imagine Rampardos changing, though.

I still think the "Hawaii is too young to have fossils" excuse is pretty bullshit. If Gamefreak cared so much about accuracy they wouldn't have put a koala in Hawaii either, or a panda in France or an artic bear in the USA. It really feels like a cop out not to put more mon. Because the omitted two are from last gen, you can transfer them from XY. That's what they want to encourage, trading etc. Notice how few Kalos-mon are in the dex, because you just used them all, in theory, in XY

There still seems to be so much confusion surrounding this. I keep seeing people arguing over whether or not it will be made by GameFreak, and that it's probably going to be a spinoff...when we already have confirmation that this is not the case. MCV is a very reputable source. They don't publish BS. For them to be saying GameFreak is making a Pokemon game for the NX means that GameFreak IS making a Pokemon game for the NX.

Plus we even have The Pokemon Company saying a Pokemon game is in development for the Switch, which supports it even further.

Pokemon Eclipse for Switch is coming October 2017.
