I think it was route 2 and 3 desu, pokemon were all level 10-12. But I did notice while watching that the trainers all did have 1 pokemon each, even the team skull grunts, which you only faced one of, instead of two like how one would expect from previous games.

I'm hoping it's just before the first trial that it holds your hand like this, though the totem hits a bit hard
