Just for a change, let's have a GF appreciation thread
What are some of the BEST design decisions these guys has made over the yearsand why are they all in Gen 4-5
Loved the concept of dream world.
All the Pokémon you could get with those new abilities and moves on the website was fun for me.
BW2 in particular has a ton but mostly just the entire implementation of the postgame.
Not only is there a huge amount of it but it's really smartly designed to maximise its longevity. Having a daily reason to come back (that doesn't suck, looking at you ORAS) and medals alone is a huge step in the right direction.
gen1
Physical/Special split, and infinite TMs are undeniably the best.
This. I havent even seen him in actual gameplay but i already know he's going to be my favorite

>implying berry pots were good
Being limited to only 4 berry planters was retarded. I get how people would hate memorizing where soil patches are on the map, but if you just devote a day and a half to filling every soil patch on a map, then you're probably set for a long time.
Is HG/SS still the only game that has "One Handed" mode?

Jokes aside,it's a top tier bro

Only pokemon game, yeah.
Bravely series also did it very well. Left = Cancel, Right = Accept, everything else selectable with Up/Down. Simple but effective.

This was genius. ORAS very trees do give like, 15 berries at its best, which is more than the pots, but the Berry Pots were always with you and was a nice way to get berries coupled with the Shard Master and Moms Shopping.
Every single time they accepted an offer from somebody to make a side game.

I don't, dream world was probably the worst thing they ever did. That stupid fucking C-gear taking up the bottom screen was awful, and locking content to a fucking browser game made the gen 5 games and Unova itself feel woefully incomplete. Especially now that old wifi is dead forever.
Literally the only thing stopping BW and BW2 from being the closest to perfect Pokemon games.
having your pokemon follow you
just let me have my iron eating, ore shitting Goliath follow me around like a puppy, gamefreak

Every single GBA game also had the L=A option.
Challenge Mode. Not perfectly executed to be sure but it was such a cool thing for them to do.
Shame we'll never ever see it again.
