I honestly loved Stantler the first time I came across one in Crystal when I was a kid. It was a completely new pokemon for me, and iirc it used Hypnosis against my pokemon. In my little children mind that translated into Stantler being a cool as fuck deer with awesome psychic powers. I loved it even though it never learnt any other psychic type moves by level up.
