The existence of Thousand Waves/Arrows and this highly suggest that two games were supposed to follow XY and finish the Kalos story. Good points my boys. Sun & Moon being the two final games within the coding could make sense; but were the codes associated with the Gen 6 engine or the 3DS games altogether? The Strange Souvenir really makes me think that Alola was the next planned region since XY, so that's another piece of the puzzle rith there.

I'm honestly curious as to how it all went down. I liked Kalos as a region, and I wanted to see it developed more in the followup. To see Sun & Moon as the true replacements is more hype, but still leaves questions unanswered
