I have very vivid memories of myself as a kid playing Silver with this guy, then in Crystal I'd fuck up Silver's Feraligatr with Thunder Punch

Later on I really liked how in Colosseum its flames would only come out when it used a move like flamethrower

I also really like it in that doujin with the gardevoir where he's a cop

He seems strong and sturdy, but also goofy. There aren't a lot of Pokémon like him, because he's just a weirdo. He was my bro when I played through with him and never let me down. I can't swim myself but I imagine he'd help me. Seems like the kind of mon to have a great sense of humor.

I loved it ever since I was four. Its design was so appealing to me. It had a perfect balance between cool and actiony but still cute and friendly. Whatever pokemon I played I had to have poliwhirl with me, I just loved it so much. Seven generations later and its still my favorite, planning to use one in moon. Luckily eviolite helps it a bit and allows me to use it in single player, unfortunately it can't do shit online against actual people. I still love the guy and was hoping maybe for alola form that might help a bit but it never got one unfortunately. Hopefully someday a niche other then the now outdated rain dance doubles set is found for it.

I think I fell inlove with it during the 5th pokemone movie. Cats have always been my favorite domestic animal while psychic has always been my favorite type. And it moves with such agility and grace, like a phantom. I love everything about it. Learning about its roots in Japanese folklore just made my facination grow. It's a bro and a beautiful one at that.

I had always liked how it looked ever since I first saw it years ag9, but It grew on my me very rapidly in the last few years. What probably sealed the deal for it was me receiving an HA, careful nature breedject gligar in XY that was raised to level 30 and had its EV's reset so I could raise it my own way.

Always a bro. Started playing in Gen 3, and older sis gave me her Yellow, so I had him on two in game teams. Being able to catch him early always made our bond last longer than the rest of the teams.

Having a bad morning one day. Drove to school. Got there early so I checked my phone and saw Mega Pidgeot leaked in corocoro. Day was instantly made better.

I like boxing. I like his animation in Gen 6. I like how he can learn the four types of moves that hit the most pokemon super effective. That is, fighting, ground, ice, and electric.

What can I say, I'm as old as this franchise.
I grew up with it and some of my first memories are tied to Gen 1 and the original show.
Squirtle has stayed as my favorite starter line, my favorite water type, and Blastoise is just a bro-y kind of badass protector.
Honestly my two complaints with it are its Mega being a bit derpy and how NONE of its animations across 6 gens, normal and mega, have special attacks fire from its actual cannons.
