Split evos for the starters are not happening.

Unique Z Moves or something related to Z crystals.
Something related to Pokemon Refresh.

Long shot:
Battle Bond.

Battlebond is reaching to the moon.
Split evos is reaching to Alpha Centauri.

But the leaked pics are the full Alolan Dex, it wouldn't make sense if they weren't there. If it's programmed for Sun, why is Lunala there? Why is Midnight Lycanroc there?
I'm not saying that there can't be split evos, but maybe they were scrubbed on purpose, knowing that there was a leak months ago and basically everyone already knew what one version's final evos would be like.

Both forms of Lycanroc are present, as are both Oranguru and Passimian. There's also UB Beauty and Absorption, which again are version exclusive but both present in the demo. It makes no sense to include some version exclusives and not others.

Plus the concept art for the final stages name them as "Litten3" and so on. There is no suggestion that there are multiple final stages, as if there were would we not expect something like "Litten3 A", to differentiate that the one we see is different from the one we don't see?

Plus, if there are version exclusive final stages, isn't it awfully convenient that we got ALL of the ones from one game? One not a smattering from both games, say two from Moon and one from Sun? Is it not also odd that if there are two for each, that all of the ones that were leaked happened to all be in the demo, with not a stray unseen one? Is it not just more likely that there was only one set of final stages and that was all that was leaked, rather than it conveniently lining up so that only one set was leaked and that only that one set happened to be in the demo?

Cresselia/Lavandula (the one who's been translating the Chinese and Riddler leaks) said something about the Riddler saying that the secret was scrapped, and that's why we haven't heard about it since June-ish.

Then again, this could be a huge game of broken telephone, but whatever.
