I had always used my RK9 to train against my EQ snorlax, forgot ground was super effective against fire. But easy to dodge. Everyone always uses dragonite against snorlax cause its normal so i guess move set doesn't matter, tho i remember lick body slam being GOAT

I've been doing it for over two months now and like another anon here said, I just walk around my city on normal speeds like 3m or 5m (the last triggers the 'too fast' message but that's it) and never got softbanned nor had to solve some captcha.

Don't know how you feel about using it, morally speaking. I don't take other peoples gyms nor do I snipe people, just prestige allied gyms if I feel like doing it and place a mon in them. Still, I want to start making a list of botters and spoofers who think they can go around dominating areas. Then I start stalking their gyms, putting them to the ground and leaving it blank for other people.

Same thing in a larger park next to my pokegf's house. lots of stops/gyms but not a single pokemon will spawn there. It's a dark green on the map and I scanned it a few times and there's not a single spawn point in the park. Up until recently (it snowed) there was a lure or two there every day.

On the contrary the lures gave off some rare shit, up until we both hit 20 we would fill atleast a pokedex spot every time we went.

In my city it's nowhere near as popular (the streets were flooded in downtown). However this isn't so bad, the few that keep playing are families with small children and small groups of high school and college students. It's comfy in one way.

The spawnpoint shift is the thing that really perplexes me. Even from Niantic's POV. With maps, shifting spawnpoints makes sense in that it's good to shuffle the geographic lottery so that everyone gets a small chance to have a spawnpoint in their house for a month, and everyone else can know that some spawns are, and will always remain, inaccessible to people who don't live deep enough inside an apartment complex or on the lucky side of a river.

But without maps, it's ridiculous. They claim they want people to "get out and explore", and simultaneously claim that maps are against the spirit of the game -- yet the sightings menu is useless for anyone who hasn't camped a full 60 minutes in order to learn their local spawns. It's easy to triangulate mons from the sightings menu within a 200m radius of my own house because I've deduced where the new spawnpoints can be. So... do I "explore" a new park? No, I just sit around my house and go out once an hour to the end of the block and pick up two or three random shitmons, because those are the only ones where I know the spawnpoints.
