Yep, it might be the reasoning behind its hairstyle, but it wasnt the inspiration - at least thats what i think.

I love the design. Most of the alola remakes are a wake up call for all the butthurt and philistine pokemon fans, that want a more serious and grown up design.

GF opens a door for us. Its time to enjoy pokemon again. Its time to leave the hate behind and just go with it. The first moment i saw Basedtrio i was kinda pissed, but now i just love it.

Yeah, I mostly share that sentiment. From what I've seen, it just looks like they're trying lots of new things, which isn't necessarily bad, and I mean there's always been ridiculous looking mons. In the end, what matters is whether it plays well, and that depends on all kinds of factors that are completely unknowable until you actually have it in hand, but yeah, so far it looks like a pretty funky ride, so I'm optimistic.

Damn, now I'm excited for Alolan Dugtrio.
