Persian and Meowth are simple variants, as an Alolan Form should be. In their case, a different color of fur and a new spin on their personalities was the best thing for them.

The Golem-line are just their normal designs with ugly, black shit pasted onto them that completely misses the point of the original instead of just slightly changing the theme. Instead of being a variant, they just added nonsensical, extraneous, redundant shit on them.

Let me spell it out for you.
Geode + Dude = Geode Pokemon. It's a living rock. Simple.
Graveler = like a snowball effect, it's the result of a geode rolling down a cliff and accumulating mass. Hence it has multiple arms, as if it's rolled into another Geodude.
Golem = it's accumulated so much mass it's made up of multiple (tectonic) plates and becomes a turtle-like creature, referencing both the world turtle and the mythological golem. Its main theme is that it rolls. It's a boulder. It rolls. It explodes because of miners detonating dynamite in mines to get to rare rocks.

Now, what is this new form?
