Learn the difference between checks and counters

Empoleon doesn't want to accidentally switch into a CC and even Fire Blast does neutral damage. It doesn't want to switch into an EQ from Torterra either or eat Wood Hammer.

Additionally the former is much faster than Empoleon so it's not like it would be a proper counter unless it's choice'd into a stone edge or HP Ice or some shit.

Never the less both Empoleon and Infernape are miles better than Torterra
