Honestly I personally like the horrifying monstrosity-shroom we got.
It plays really well with the concept of fairy rings, and how fairies aren't all nice. Some are nasty, malicious fuckers who suck the life out of everything even if they don't try it.

I personally feel like there are more humanoid mons this time around because they want to make the game feel more like an RPG than before.
They tested the waters with the Kalos starters, and now they have a gen of more Party Members than just straight Pokemon.
In my experience with RPGs as well the starters make the same sort of trio the Kalos starters did as a Fighter/Mage/Thief setup, but this time with other spins of those classes in Berseker (or monk)/Ranger/Bard.

The evolution doesn't just 'get bigger', but changes its entire body shape, gains arms, changes the mushroom cap into one single huge one, and has a clearly different appearance. it gained more defined features.

You don't seem to understand what 'just got bigger' even means. Actually, you're not the only one who can play this game.

Paras to Parasect doesn't even change much at all. The face changes a little, eyes become dead, and the mushroom takes over its whole body. It's just Paras with a larger mushroom, dead eyes, and a little bigger.

But no, go ahead continuing to spout absolute nonsensical issues, most likely because you're disappointed because Morelull didn't evolve how you wanted, and so you can't cope with it in any way other than bitching over made up issues.

It's design is one of the best in this shitty generation

Morelull's evo actually makes allot of of sense. Morelull has a row of mini light-up mushrooms. Like a group of light bulbs. Its evo is a giant glowing mushroom. Like somewhat of a lamp. Seems pretty damn logical.

The abilities are really disappointing. I hope it gets a different one upon evolving like Tsareena or gets a good HA. Otherwise youre gonna have to run Illuminate because Effect Spore is counter productive to using Spore.

My main problem with it is the mouth.
