I liked the possibility of it. It looked like something that could evolve into something super cool. And it kind of did.

I knew it had potential, but I really don't like its eyes. They look like something out of Family Guy.

I was mixed on it. At first it reminded me of kabuto and kabutops who Iquite like but are quite shit. At the least I plan to have wimpod2 on my team for my playthrough, hopefully it is good enough to use online. Wimpod2 is my second favorite gen 7 pokemon design wise, first goes to pic related.

I'm with you OP. Kabutops/Armaldo lines are some of my favorites, and Wimpod/Champod carry the torch perfectly.

Wimpod is amazing and had potential for a much better evolution than the one he got (same for Grubbin and Jango-mo)

I'm pretty sure quite a few people liked it, myself included. A lot of people like underdogs and how can you not love the expression on its cute little face?

Wimpodfag from that thread reporting in. Couldn't be more pleased with his evo. Almost makes up for that the rest of the dex is waifurbait.

Only thing I'm concerned about now is Crabrawler. Is he just the "Krabby" of his line? I don't mind it, but I'm not a huge fan of what could be his evolution. So if it is his evolution, and not like, a counterpart like the hitmons or maybe an evolution like Scyther/Scizor where Crabrawler still has usable stats a la Scyther, then I'm gonna switch to Kommomomomomom-o.

Maybe slap le toucan on there as my starter.

I definitely don't hate yeticrab, and I might even be swayed once I see what it looks like in-game, but I don't like the Djangosaur line that much less than Crabrawler, so they will be fine for my Fighting-type if Crabrawler falls through.

There are no fossils in Hawaii, and also none in Hawaii. It appears that a few fossil Pokémon will be available in the wild this time, however.

my only gripe is that i feel like it should have a middle evo a la whirlipede.
