Doesn't the second typing for a starter usually tend to manifest at least to SOME degree in the first evolution? Just seems strange that we'd have a relatively DARK and naughty looking kitten suddenly turn into a Fighting type.
I'm just putting forth the fact that the intention of a dirty fighter and Fire/Dark at least makes sense when you look at the evolution line as a whole.
Combusken, Monferno and Pignite for example all already had the secondary typing and the visual appearance.
Examples like Braixen, Prinplup, Quilladin and Grotle, while not containing a secondary typing, show clear signifiers of what they are to become and even begin to learn moves of that typing.
The fact that Torracat looks more like a dark type and Throat Chop sounding like a dark move does give a persuasive reason to rethink the Fire/Fighting assumption.

You know the third stage is actually fire/dark, right?
>>29287954
That's the point of this thread.
>>29288010
No, the thread is made under the assumption that it might become fighting, when we know it's dark. Grass/flying, water/fairy, fire/dark.
>>29288085
We don't know that though.
>>29288139
Yes we do. It's in the leaks.
>>29288198
Which leaks?
>>29288198
No it's not.
>>29288198
It's in the leaks, but "It's not confirmerd, Huur Durr, Fire-Fighitng type!"
