You put it in your team.
You send it out during a battle.
If it has Imposter, it will not look like Ditto, thus tricking the opponent.
You then use Transform, and surprise your foe with an exact copy of their pokemon.
You then panic because you don't know what they're planning.

If it has imposter it auto transforms after being sent out. Use a choice scarf on him now he outspeeds whatever he xformed into.

Scarfed ditto can save your ass against boosters. I was in a random match (the one without rules) and my rival had a xerneas with a power herb. The fag managed to use geomancy twice and killed my moon, so i sent ditto and i finished his team with him.
