Ok to clarify things.

1. Ash/Satoshi will not turn 11. Writers and staff confirmed he is still 10. Like Youkai Watch, the anime will be fun adventures of comedy and school discovering Pokemon and slice of life style. The movies however, will source straight from the games! Things like UB's and some other big Sun & Moon game events will be part of the movie series and take a more serious tone with different animation than the anime itself (similar to Youkai Watch).

2. While the writers, staff and voice cast won't spoil too much on the anime. The staff have said many times to "Watch the final episode of XY & Z to see a twist ending with a suprise no one will expect".

3. Serena's VA is still recording at the studio with Rica and some other cast members, whether she is voicing Serena or someone else in Sun And Moon is unknown.

These are confirmed facts.
Enjoy your comedy slice of life anime as it will not be like previous adventure series before it.

Looking back, did any of you all notice how Omode was really the only one to treat Amour in a romantic light? As in, Serena has a crush on Ash. While all the other regular writers had Amour scenes that could just as easily be interpreted as just Serena looks up to Ash and seeks acknowledgment from someone she admires, not necessarily love?

And to top it all off she was mentioned at the end of BW (although the hilarious part was that Ash was asking Oak about Tracey at the time).
Serena? She might get one special. Possibly. And considering Iris was nowhere to be found in XY, the writers clearly no longer adhere to the unwritten rule that the previous girl has to show up once during the next series, so it's very possible that Ash will never see her again.
I'm not a Pokeshipper or Amourshipper and never will be either, but considering Serena had all that buildup during the series, as opposed to a few lines and a song forced into the dub, it's pretty pathetic that she's being thrown away like a used napkin.
