It reverts forms after it goes below a certain HP threshold. So it becomes an unstoppable rape engine but get it below like half HP and it reverts back to a shitmon that you can dispatch easily. If you want to keep your rape engine you need to keep it's HP up or it becomes a piece of shit midway through battle again.

Don't worry about spreading experience too thinly by training more than 6 Pokemon. If Gen 6 is any indicator, the difficulty is very forgiving.

I can't resist doing a mono-type run with all these good fire types in Alola. Magmar is kinda filler because I'm not sure who will get the 6th slot yet. If one of the new Pokemon is revealed to be fire type, then I'll pick it up. If not, I have to decide between a National Dex mon and just bringing in a Cyndaquil (Typhlosion is my favorite).

Funny thing for me is that for months I had been planning on using a team that had a mon from each generation since 3, including a total of 3 starters. For all of the anons moaning about a loss of all hype in SuMo because of the leaks, I am astonished. The leaks undenialbly proved to me that SuMo has such a tremendously well designed generation that I was prompted me to throw out my team that I had already bred that has been waiting to be transferred in, and am currently planning to play through with no previous gen other than the one Aloan form I'll be using for the first time since Black I think? I was less hype before yesterday. The demo making me need to keep coming back is some annoying BS, but I'm still more excited for Gen 7 than I had been for the month or so preceding yesterday.
