The only data that came from the demo was the pictures. Pretty much everything else was scrubbed

I really hope that HMs aren't 100% gone.
I hope it works like Fly in ORAS: you can either use the HM Pokemon or you can call in Lati@s.
Some of the demo'a text (like how smashable boulders have the "a Pokemon can do this" text and the boat lady mentions surfing) makes me think they're still there... just no longer required.

Also because Surf, Fly, and Strength are solid battle moves... even if there's equivalent alternatives.
