So, this is purely speculative, and is something I only thought about recently.
I've noticed something of a trend across the past couple of generations, and maybe others have too. Each generation (besides Gen 5 since they made a bunch of original Mons) brings about something new to make previous generations, especially the 1st Gen, more relevant. And I would say it begins with Gen 4, where quite a few Gen 1 Pokemon suddenly get new evolutions. Some only get pre-evolutions, but nonetheless, changes. Go to Gen 6, a lot of Gen 1 Pokes receive Mega Evolutions, while a few get retconned to Fairy typing. Now come to Gen 7. Gen 1 Pokemon that have not had much changes in the past couple generations where changes were made receive new variations, Alolan Forms. So, this is a list of Pokemon that haven't had anything significant done to them in recent generations (and you can assume the previous evos could have something done as well, like type variation):
Butterfree
Fearow
Arbok
Nidoqueen
Nidoking
Vileplume
Parasect
Venomoth
Golduck
Primeape
Arcanine
Machamp
Victreebell
Tentacruel
Rapidash
Farfetch'd
Dodrio
Dewgong
Cloyster
Hypno
Kingler
Electrode
Hitmon-chan/lee
Weezing
Seaking
Starmie
Jynx
Tauros
Lapras
Omastar
Kabutops
Dragonite
What do you think GF has up their sleeves for these guys, if anything?

The first pokemon you see in the demo are Machamp and Corsola
maybe megas?
Its called pandering. They dont have anything planned except for how much money its gonna make them
>>29258429
They're really abundant too.
>tfw really love Machamp and Corsola, and want to know where they're going with this
>mfw i'll take a special Z-Move if I have to
PLEASE BOOST BASED PARASECT
Can't believe there is no Alohan Golduck.

Well, with Gen 6 they had ORAS, which came with it more Mega Evolutions. So I'm thinking if GF plans to release another remake of previous games, we might see more type variations, since that's a theme.

Special Z moves are something I kinda fear for these Pokes. It would sort of suck, desu

I realized I forgot Poliwrath. Damn.
