It has some godly tracks but also a few terrible ones. 8/10.

Why does everyone say the battle theme is bad?

It gets pretty damn good like 50 seconds in, and even before that it's still better than virtually every other games generic battle music

10/10 team skull themes make me so happy, that kanto trainer theme mixed in hits me in all the right ways, and I get a huge gen 5 feel from the Totem pokemon theme. Feels like a huge celebration of 20 years of pokemon

Mahalo trail music might be the best track ive heard in a pokemon game so far

I'm surprised how varied the stuff we've heard is, Mahalo Trail is super atmospheric, Hau'oli City is catchy and upbeat, the night version is jazzy and comfy as fuck, Ten Carat Hill is super funky, Totem battle theme is intense, and everything about Team Skull is so fucking groovy holy shit 10/10.

Fucking amazing. If they keep this quality throughout the game it might be contender for best OST.

So far, 9.5/10

Team Skull is fucking fantastic, but I'm waiting for that 'one' song that will blow me away when the final release comes out.

Very bad. The samples and soundfonts sound worse than the GBA soundfonts and the music's style makes no sense. The battle themes are all nice though, everything else from the Pokémon Center to the Item get, Pokémon catch, and other jingles are abortions of the devil. 5/10

I haven't played a pokemon game since Ruby and the last time I enjoyed a track as much as this was Lucky Channel/Game Corner in Gold/Silver

so far from what I've heard this soundtrack has really comfy tunes and gives me jrpg feels I think I'll buy this game
