I really like the anchor critter. Probably another ghost type based on inanimate objects but this time it's actually based on something ghost-related (sunken ships/spooky ghost ships). Almost every mon this generation seems to get a neat unique move or ability or something, so I hope this guy is no exception

Overall I feel there's a really strong showing across the board this gen. I remember nothing leading up to X/Y really grabbing me until I saw bergmite and goomy leak and the latter shit the bed harder than anything in the history of the franchise at its final evolution which added further insult to injury.

Avalugg had the potential to be great (dat defence), but it's such a one-trick pony it's not funny. Special attack? It'll hold on with Sturdy and use Mirror Coat, then you can revenge sweep on the next turn. Physical move? Probably Avalanche.

I didn't mind Morelull, because the colors were muted and not so annoying. It looked pleasant.
This one is more of a mixed bag, as the colors are more intense, but then its overall design isn't bad and the claws are pretty fucking cool.

In the leaks, I also like Wimpods evo. And marshadow is neat lookin.
The biggest downsides aside from the new Alolan forms, is the fact that Komala and drampa are standalone pokermen. Makes me sad.
