The demo was missing a lot of lines from previous generations. I'm guessing what was leaked was the Alola regional dex and not the national dex, which would mean all mythical mons were excluded. Magearna will probably be an early event like Victini, which is why it's there. Marshadow probably has another forme that is more powerful that'll either be available post natdex or, more likely, in a future game.
