there are only 4 bug-typed final stages in the game and the only bug pokemon that's not a legendary that can learn fly is Volcarona, that's why i've never played any mono-bug run

I'm guessing that it evolves around lv 35-40 like Barbanacle. 20 like gyarados seems early, unless there's an alternative method to evolve it, like friendship.
