Bug/Psychic

My money's on Water/Electric.

The bubbles around everything make Water almost a guarantee. Meanwhile the yellow limbs, plus the fact that its eyes have pseudo lightning bolt patterns in them, make me think electricity.

I can see either of those being replaced with Psychic or Bug, though I doubt we'd get 2 Bug/Electric or Bug/Water lines in one gen, and the pre-evo doesn't look bug-like at all.

LOL the second stage is actually the worst garbage I have ever seen. Despite being obviously based on RL diving spiders, I don't think they'll be aquatic in-universe. Rather I think they're meant to be like astronauts using their "suits" to survive in outer space or between dimensions, and they'll be encountered in the Lunaleo shrine areas and/or near an Ultra Beast rift. That's why I'm leaning toward some combination with Psychic.

It's guaranteed to have at least Water considering it's got water bubbles on it. Bugs sometimes forgo their bug typing to fit other types in though. Anyone who has no Water type is just completely fucking stupid, that's the only requirement its typing has.
