Alolan Dugtrio

Same problem here.
During the day I finished the main demo, talked to every NPC, did the rock-smash thing and found the mysterious old man, caught Pikachu, Yungoose, Pikipek, and Rockruff in the cpature challenge, anddefeated the 3 trainers and Ace Trainer.

Went back at night in the demo and nothing new had appeared. I re-did the rock challenge and the old man appeared again but said he had nothing for me and wouldnt have anything else for me.

The chick that makes you look for Dugtrio hasn't appeared. Maybe it's time based?

Unless there is something with an ubsurdly low encounter rate I missed, I caught all the pokemon in that area. No KOs, no broken pokeballs. So, I dunno.

It's probably time locked. In the Marina there's a girl that asks you to see her off in 24 days (November 12) and there's a police officer in the Marina that says something shady will happen in 18 days.

There's probably more things like this I haven't found yet.

I don't think so. I managed to catch 18 Pokemon total on a second try (I was unlucky with two Pokeballs), and all that happened was the guy telling me that I beat his score.

Then I released all the Pokemon I caught and left.

I go in, I go out. I turn it off, I turn it on. What the heck is the chance of this Dugtrio girl encounter? 10%? 1%? Most of the people playing this demo probably won't even see it. Also, I've yet to see nighttime, I hope that changes real soon.

In past Pokémon games certain events would only be triggered in specific hours of the day so I get this feeling you can only see Alolan Dugtrio at a specific time frame in the day.
