Man does this gen fall apart towards the second half of the dex. I've never seen a generation take a nosedive into mediocrity so fucking quickly.
My hype had been at a steady 8/10 for most of this season but the recent leaks have caused that to shoot down to about a 2. What a joke this gen is.

I think my favorite thing about it is it still looks like wimpod on top, you could imagine him hiding in a swamp with just his head showing looking like a non threatening wimpod them he fucks your shit up.

Super happy with this gen as a whole. Blue means ill be using it for my first play through, and black means I have no opinion on it (mostly because its just pikachu with a hat)

Lower UB scores are applied if they are pokemon/are catchable, higher scores are applied if they aren't pokemon/aren't catchable. Ultra Beasts look like awesome bosses BUT THEY DO NOT look like awesome pokemon.

Overall i like this gen better than 6, i like the starters and while alola forms mostly got worse with each reveal, the gen has more good NEW pokemon than the last one.

I went above and beyond for you guys, because DATA. I rated mons on a scale of 1 to 6 (with 6 being rainbow. i did this because an entry has to have at least a 1, and it made 3's right in the middle rather than slightly favored). 1 means i actively dislike it, 3 being indifferent, and 6 being !~*WOW*~!

I also checked the total score for the generation, clocking in at 386 out of 684 possible points, or 56.4%. the new Alolan forms really dragged it down, however i would guess that most generations would be around ~60-65% (due to the fact that many pokemon would fill the 3/6 slot, whilst very few would reach 6/6. getting a score like 80% would be very difficult).I was most pleasantly surprised by the UBs, I really like most of them.
