Citra emulator + NAND + Pokemon SM demo ROM all in one 7z folder:

Instructions:
1. Unzip the 7z (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html if you don't have it)
2. Double click on citra-qt.exe
3. Double click on the demo http://i.imgur.com/DIyyKpI.png
4. Play
The only other Pokemon ROMS Citra is known to be compatible with is ORAS after a fashion (refer to >>28741212 for more information) and maybe PMD.
Requirements: Windows 64 bit at least and you need a good CPU (Citra can only use a single core).

Thanks. Also, the demo runs better that I expected on my toaster. Should I expect the same level of performance from the full game ?

It may work or it may not work at all.
Pokemon XY still doesn't work (because item receiving and levelling up caused a crash perhaps due to audio but otherwise it runs fast in game) but SM demo doesn't have this problem.
Pokemon ORAS does work to game completion however some crashes are unavoidable (for example, certain trainers used to trigger this and playing as a girl is still reported to make the game unfinishable) as well as blackscreening in rustboro only but the romhacks never blackscreened ever for unknown reasons).
SM might or might not work. We don't know. But the demo I played through completely and it was fine.

The decrypted .3ds roms from the pirate bay can be played straightaway with no conversion.
You should also download the accompanying romhack to walk around in Rustboro unless you feel like changing your save file's language.
The romhacks need to be converted (the converter and video are also in the pastebin)

The numbers are all FPS (60 FPS is 100% speed). As you can see, FPS ranges anywhere from 30ish to 100 FPS. I think I get better numbers on Pokemon ORAS than the demo though.
