Regional Pokedex List?

In almost every thread there is a mediafire link with images of the complete regional dex. A little over 300 mons for the alola region and only 70 something new.

I think they're the same models from X/Y/OR/AS. They just look better because they're slightly higher-res than what's usually seen in-game.

The part that upsets me most is that there are so many Pokemon that fall under the "Easily forgotten" category who get no help from GF at all... So many great Pokemon are going to be completely unusable until Pokebank releases...

These are the sprites for the pokedex and team preview. Their models will probably be the same as Gen 6

They come before Magearna, so I'd say yes. Plus they also have shiny forms. I'd say they're full-blown Pokemon.

It seems odd that they included so many Kanto Pokemon and only gave a small handful Aloah forms. And this is coming from someone who grew up playing gen 1. No real point in having so many if GF Des nothing to improve the ones that need it. Butterfree and Poliwrath come to mind.

Why does there need to be so many route 1 shitmons and overused pseudos? Mons like Darumakka and Elgyem need some love.

Yeah, I wish there were more Alolan forms. But I guess in a way each Alolan form constitutes the same work it would take to make a whole new Pokemon, so I understand why there aren't a lot of them.

But the main reason why there's so many Kanto Pokemon is simple: They wanted to make the game more cozy for all the newcomers coming in from Pokemon GO and also all the people returning to the series for the first time since gen 1/2. I know lots of people who are in one of those two boats.

The second sprite is its "busted disguise" mode. I don't know why that has its own sprite, but it's pretty much the same as Minior's two forms.

Considering the Ultra Beasts are ordered before Magearna and have shinies, I'd say they count as Pokemon. Same with the island deities, of course those are regular Pokemon. They battle with you have have stats/moves/etc.

The only things I'm not sure of are the two little ones before Solgaleo/Lunala. As you said, we really can't tell if they're pre-evos or other forms. And their ordering in the list doesn't make sense for either of those. The only two possibilities I can think of, given their ordering, is that they're either part of one evolutionary line that splits at the end (second stage can evolve into either Solgaleo or Lunala) or they're entirely independent Pokemon that are simply "counterparts" to Solgaleo/Lunala in some way. But either way I do believe that they're both separate Pokemon with their own dex numbers.

So I think there's 81 total gen 7 Pokemon, for a total of 802.

There's not a single legendary pokemon in any of these. So you can't catch any of the legendary pokemon previous games in this game?

The dex looks like a Fire Red Rom hack with cross evos and a handful of other gen pokemon sprinkled in because there's 5 free slots

Seems that way. It makes sense, though, considering they put every legendary from gens 1-5 into XY/ORAS and also just redistributed every event legendary. I'm guessing Pokemon Bank will be available much sooner than in XY.

Okay, look at it this way. If we count the 221 previous Gen Pokémon in the pictures (ignoring the extra Shellos, Gastrodon, and Zygarde), count the Ultra Beasts, and ignore the Solgaleo core and Lunala core things, that's 79 new Pokémon, making for a regional Pokédex of 300, and a National Pokédex of 800.

I want to think that's the case because of the nice round numbers.

I noticed they slapped in quite a few old fossils. Does it mean we get no alola fossils?
