There were noticable drops.
But It's not worse than ORAS with 3d on.

I noticed zero drop on the n3DS

Granted I do have the extra processor power and memory unlocked for all games.

Depends on what you mean by "matter". Having near 180º viewing angles is pretty nice. Particularly with pokemon, as since it's not an action game I move the screen around more depending on what else I'm doing.

Really though when it comes to these things ignorance is bliss. I wouldn't want to go back now, but had I not experienced IPS I wouldn't give a shit.

Yes, you can but not through luma. It eats at your battery and the highest clock speed is still lower than the New 3DS.
