If I'm given the choice I will take the dpad over a stick/circlepad any day.

I don't even play too much console shit because I don't like sticks. wasd/dpad all the way for me.

It's not completely, still works in menus.

I'm gentler with my game systems than most people, but my circle pad gradually began fucking up this year. After taking my thumb off the pad, my character would keep moving in the se direction for up to 30 seconds. You don't hVe to be rough with the hardware in order for it to break.

Unless key items are set to D-pad directions, disabling it is completely retarded. It's like how they needlessly killed the Start button.

It won't affect me since I only use the d-pad in menus but taking that choice away from the player is a bad design decision.
