Why does Water not damage Water? or grass and grass? Are they immune to each other now?

Yes

>Ice type SE against Fairy
Well, buff ice and nerf fairy seems fair
>Ice SE against Water
I don't get it here

Out of all the things that should be immune to each other, you make Fighting-Fighting neutral.
Don't you think it would be more symbolic if Fighting was immune to itself, to signify that each fighting style is readable, exploitable, and negated by a trained fighter? It would also be interesting if Counter was the only Fighting move that worked against Fighting types.

Since Ice will still be fragile, I thought it be better just make it the best offensive typing with the most types being weak to it.

If anything Fighting should be SE against fighting. Too many things resist fighting regardless
