Gen 5 is pretty sick. I had a hard time getting used to the newer gens, but now I love Unova a lot.

Unfortunately, it also introduced the only Pokemon I cannot force myself to like no matter how hard I try.

I'm not the biggest fan of Gen V mons, but I do like some of the designs a lot, which made team-making easier.

IMO the only BAD unova Pokémon are alomamola, the klink line and the purrloin line, the trubbish line, cryogonal and stunfisk. That's Only 10 out of the like 156 gen 5 Pokémon. Unova was a fucking amazing generation. Genwunner assholes can suck my cock.

I was really expecting this, because I used to shit on gen5 designs (In fact I really, really, really hate gen5 graphics, so I couldn't appreciate those designs), and going through gen6 and some rom hacks made me realize they weren't all garbage.
I feel like gf took risks for this gen, and the result is many shitmon, and many good and excellent designs. I wish I could get BW and BW2 with gen7 graphics so I could fully appreciate these games.

Orange : Meh
Yellow : Okay/Not bad
Light green : Good tier
Green : God tier
Blue : Bro Tier (4 is fine)

Taste based on design for most of them, and Bro and shit tier are fulfilled with mon I hated/loved for some ingame reasons.

I made a similiar post a long time ago and it had 100+ posts, almost everyone liked good majority or thought they were decent.

Easily my favourite region. Seeing them all in 3D helped me appreciate how well-designed they are. It's hard going back to sprites now.

Unova was a pretty solid gen imo. While I am not too fond of the whole gen 1 "reinvented" idea, I'd say design wise gen 5 is pretty good.
