I think Samurott just needs new official art. Few people know it is a quadruped with bipedal capabilities like similar to Typlosion and Beartic. Even if it is capable of standing its official artwork fails to convey that it's legs are capable of supporting it's upper body. Which makes visualizing it difficult. I love Samurott, but Gamefreak should've made the design more consistent as it is a design that tends to leave bad first impressions.

No, Samurott needs a complete redesign. No matter how you carve it, it looks fucking stupid attempting to go bipedal. It looks fucking stupid using those swords. It looks fucking stupid, period. Zygarde Complete should be a permanent forme and not a gimmick with basically zen mode, they simply fucked it up with a very restricted ability that serves no other purpose than to change it in battle. It needs those extra stats way before changing and essentially it'll never have a "true" ability, hell Aura Break would of been something.

Game Freak loves to fuck up things. I'm not sure what I really think of Samurott though, I think the design is great but it is similar to how the changes are vastly different from its pre evo, pretty much like Combusken to Blaziken.

I don't get what's so bad about Samurott. It's one of the only Unova Pokemon that I actually like. I like Dewott, too, but I don't think that Samurott ruined the line by any means. Serperior and Emboar are much, much worse _ Emboar needs a retcon long before Samurott does.

I chose Oshawott in my White playthrough so I'm not coming at this from a side that dislikes the line, but god damn it's just so boring. When Dewott was first leaked way back when, he had this alternate colour scheme for some reason where he was primarily white and had a darker blue, and I fucking fell in love. If it had that design I think it would've become my favourite pokemon, but then the real starter lines were leaked and they were just disappointing. I loved Oshawott/Tepig/Snivy, but not one of them lived up to their potential.
