The Chinese name is a combination of 'small' and 'meteorite', and Minior evokes 'mini' and 'meteor' as well as 'junior'. Nothing about it suggests it's a minion of anything.

As for Oricorio I don't think it'll evolve, but I do think it will have a pre-evo to make breeding easier, so you could breed any of the birds and still be able to get the type you want by evolving it on the specific island.

Gen VII is literally the gen of Pokemon overcoming their insecurities and personality quirks, and places an emphasis on their relation to their trainers.

If there's one thing that could be evidence for Wimpod not evolving, its the super unique ability. It could totally be a gimmick-mon, but I'm hoping it's not. (even though it's type sucks)

Pyukumuku is almost definitively evolving if the riddle leak guy is as trustworthy as he's seemed. It was represented as having a Rock, Paper, Scizzors gimmick and it seems to need two more steps. That is unless it has brother/sister mons that are the other two.
